The Supreme Court will also hear on the merits a group of cases pertaining to the political repercussions in Maharashtra due to the Shiv Sena's split on Tuesday. Days after being recognized by the Election Commission, the Shiv Sena group headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took control of the party's office in the legislative building on Monday.
