32:04Now PlayingIn this episode of The Urban Debate, the host Shreya Dhoundial will discuss how Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, two of the trusted aides to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who are now in jail on corruption-related allegations, quit the Cabinet on Tuesday. The two leaders, who were instrumental in putting Kejriwal's vision for excellent governance—decent education and health facilities into action in the nation's capital have quit their ministerial posts. Following Jain's detention by the Enforcement Directorate in May of last year in connection with a money laundering case, the opposition BJP has been calling for his resignation. Once his name surfaced in the excise policy fraud in August 2022, Sisodia also came under fire. He was detained by the CBI on Sunday night in relation to the suspected wrongdoing in the creation and execution of the now-cancelled 2021–22 liquor policy. We are joined by a few panelists who will be expressing their views on this issue. “It's important that the investigation is not hampered. Manish Sisodia has to be in custody or else he'll destroy more evidence,” says Charu Pragya, BJP Spokesperson. Listen In!
