18:35:32Now PlayingJapanese PM Fumio Kishida is en route to Ukraine. This comes a day after Chinese President Xi Jinping met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Kishida met PM Modi in India before his visit to Ukraine. PM Fumio is the only remaining leader of G7 who did not visit Ukraine since the Russian invasion. He is also the first Japanese PM to visit a war zone since World War II. Japan has joined Western allies to sanction Russia after Putin waged a war in Ukraine. Japan has sent defensive equipment and offered refuge to Ukrainians. Japan has not offered military support to Ukraine because its constitution limits its military capacity. Watch the video for more.
