The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a corruption case against the former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer on Friday, May 12. The probe agency also raided Wankhede's house in connection with the case. Raids are also underway at several locations in Mumbai in connection with the case.
Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, spent four weeks in jail. In May 2022, he was cleared of all charges by the NCB due to a lack of evidence. Sameer Wankhede and other NCB officials conspired to book Aryan Khan and other celebrities on the cruise ship. NCB officer Wankhede was booked for allegedly demanding Rs 25 crore in bribes for not framing Aryan Khan in a drug case.
