The fact is airfares continue to pinch. Now, a fresh report from the ACI that is Airports Council International has proven what Mirror Now has been saying. They have pegged the airfare surge in India post-pandemic as the highest in the Asia specific region at 41%. That’s how much on an average airfares domestically have increased in India. Do you want to know how much more expensive they have gotten on international travel as per this report post-pandemic ? Well by 50% and the report also goes on to say this is airlines making the most of the situation which is high demand and less supply because they want to recoup their pandemic losses. We are joined by a few panelist expressing their views on this issue. “Passengers are left with no choice but to pay high fares. They are stuck between the government & airlines,” stated Sarosh Damania, Aviation lawyer.
