1:31Now PlayingTop News | The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has requested time with the temple trust to negotiate costs and supplies of ghee used to manufacture the famed laddus served as prasad at the renowned Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. KMF stated in a letter to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the trust that oversees the temple, that it has been unable to deliver ghee in recent days owing to very competitive bidding in tenders. It also tried to clarify the media debate over the lack of ghee supply. The letter also stated that KMF now produces around 30,000 MTs of ghee per year and would be "very happy" to collaborate with TTD in the creation of Lord Sri Venkateshwara's laddu prasadam, which it regards as an offering of devotion to the Lord.
