This comes after NIA has raided multiple locations across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, in a crackdown on the Khalistani-gangster nexus. The raids were conducted at more than 50 locations across the above-mentioned states. These come amid the diplomatic tensions between India and Canada over Canadian PM, Justin Trudeau’s allegation of the potential involvement of Indian agents in the killing of a Khalistani extremist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, on Canadian soil. The charge has been rejected by New Delhi as ‘absurd’ and ‘politically motivated.’
