Amid rising protests, CBI probes has been started in the said matter and the government has also declared it ‘disturbed area’ status under the AFSPA law for the next six months starting 1st October 2023. In this status, nineteen valley police stations will be exempted. The troubles for Manipur continue after months of riots and other issues in the state.
