40 workers remain trapped, oxygen & supplies supplied. For the third day in a row, a rescue operation continued on Tuesday to evacuate 40 labourers who are trapped inside the tunnel after an under-construction tunnel on the Centre's ambitious Char Dham all-weather highway project collapsed early on Sunday. More than 150 personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) have been working almost round the clock to reach the trapped workers. Authorities said the rescue operation could take up to two more days.
