The Bharat Jodo Nyay Jatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi, is presently taking place in Assam. During their attempt to reach Guwahati, party officials and supporters smashed down barricades and engaged in physical altercations with police officers. Earlier that day, Sarma had given the Director General of Police, G P Singh, instructions to file a complaint against Rahul Gandhi for inciting the mob to smash barriers.
