After the event on Saturday night, two students—one from Tajikistan and the other from Sri Lanka—were admitted to the hospital. Nine teams of security professionals were assembled to investigate the event after a formal complaint (FIR) was filed against twenty to twenty-five individuals. About twenty-six persons broke into the government-run dormitory of Gujarat University on Saturday night at about 10.50 p.m. and voiced their disapproval of students from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and other nations performing namaz in the building where they were staying.
