3:32Now PlayingRussia has accused NATO countries of becoming increasingly involved in the Ukraine war by allegedly supporting Ukrainian drone operations. Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, said Ukraine depends heavily on NATO funding and weapons and argued that Western governments could restrict Kyiv’s operations by cutting military supplies or financing. Miroshnik also alleged that some countries were allowing Ukrainian drones to use their territory and airspace, describing this as a gradual “de facto” inclusion of those states in military operations. He did not provide evidence for the claim. Miroshnik further accused geopolitical powers of using Ukraine to advance their own interests, describing the country as a “killer” and “mercenary” state. Kyiv and its Western allies reject Moscow’s characterization of Ukraine as a Western proxy and say military assistance is aimed at helping Ukraine defend itself against Russia’s invasion.
