NORAD said F-16 fighter jets intercepted two aircraft, while a third triggered an alert shortly before Trump’s departure. The incidents briefly disrupted security operations and reportedly delayed Trump’s departure by around 13 minutes. The first two aircraft were escorted safely from the restricted airspace, while the third pilot reestablished communications and complied before an interception was required. Officials reminded pilots to check FAA NOTAMs before flying near restricted areas. NORAD described the response as routine layered airspace defence.
