Aug 11, 20269:57Now PlayingRussian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov revealed the domestic security agency had prevented "66 bombings and arson attacks targeting transport and energy facilities" - and added that "150 people involved in preparing and carrying them out" had been detained - at a meeting of the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) in Moscow on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, NAC Information Centre Representative Aleksandr Polyakov said that the meeting had highlighted the need to strengthen infrastructure protection, monitor compliance with recommendations issued by federal and regional authorities, and assess the effectiveness of the measures being taken.
