9:00Now PlayingFederal authorities say they disrupted an alleged ISIS-inspired plot targeting New York’s State Capitol in Albany. Jessica Bowie, 35, was arrested on August 19 and appeared in federal court on August 20, where she was charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIS. According to the Justice Department, Bowie allegedly conducted surveillance of the Capitol, photographed the building and sought an explosive device. Prosecutors say she intended to kill state senators, damage the Capitol and later flee to Syria. The FBI says the alleged plot was stopped before an attack could occur.
