President Zelensky described the strike as "simply horrific," saying there was "no military logic" behind it. The regional governor of the area, Vadym Filashkin, wrote on Telegram that it was "a 500-kg (1,100-pound) air bomb," and that "The Russians have again deliberately targeted an area where there are lots of people - a shopping centre in the middle of town."
