Coronavirus, MLB return plans, NASCAR coming back, UFOs, Sweden

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared more good news on the coronavirus front, with several states beginning to get back to work.

Clay Travis commented on a New York Times article on Sweden, who never went into quarantine and is coming out with a much lower death rate than other European countries and, as a result, is rapidly developing a herd immunity.

Clay Travis continued by sharing USA Today’s report that Major League Baseball is planning their return — initially without fans. The league would also reconfigure their schedule by geographic regions in order to get in 100 games.

Clay Travis also shared NASCAR’s plans to return in May, which would closely align themselves with the return of the UFC and their schedule.

Clay Travis discussed colleges and universities who have announced they are planning to open their doors including Purdue, whose president, Mitch Daniels, made the bold, data-based comment that healthy college-aged kids have almost “zero risk” of facing coronavirus dangers. Clay has maintained throughout the pandemic that college football will return in the Fall.

Finally, Clay Travis commented on the Pentagon’s decision to release recently unclassified footage of UFOs to the public. “By July 4th I’ll be kicking back having a beer at the beach thinking we finally kicked the coronavirus’s ass — and now maybe the aliens are going to take over? This makes 2020 even crazier than it has already been,” said Travis.
