Clay Travis continued by suggesting that the NCAA should allow all players in all conferences to opt out of this season and take a medical redshirt year. “The SEC is allowing any athlete with a scholarship for the fall who chooses not to play in 2020 to sit out and keep their scholarship. The NCAA should add to that and allow a medical redshirt to any athlete who doesn’t want to play. That would be the right decision.”
Clay Travis also talked about the Washington Redskins mess under owner Dan Snyder, who is facing numerous charges of sexual harassment. It is Clay’s opinion that the allegations will likely not stick to Snyder, but the attention seems to have moved the Redskins owner to bow to the mob and resign the team name. “In my prior life I was a lawyer who investigated sexual harassment claims. When I look at the Redskins situation, Dan Snyder doesn’t appear to be connected to any misbehavior, so it doesn’t look like the NFL can force him out.”
Clay Travis then commented on the 56 year old SI model who is gaining enough clicks on the Outkick site to threaten a crash. Clay is surprised the swimsuit edition is still allowed in the midst of the current woke culture.
Clay Travis also talked about the college football media’s hatred for President Donald Trump. “The college football media is opposed to college football this season because they hate Donald Trump. But if college football is canceled, a lot of them are going lose their jobs because they spent 6 months arguing against the existence of the sport they cover.”
Clay Travis concluded by offering his commentary on James Harden’s “blue lives matter” mask that has gotten much blowback from others in the NBA. “Yesterday, James Harden wore a ‘blue lives matter’ mask and the NBA Twitter lost its mind. Think about how crazy that is. If an NBA player supports the lives of police, that is considered unacceptable by NBA fans on social media. This is complete lunacy.”
