1:55Now PlayingThe NFL is coming back. Today we have the beginning of the NFL return. Players from the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs tested for coronavirus.
Tomorrow, the rest of the rookies. I believe it is the rookies who are coming in now.
I don’t understand the point of a pre-season at all in the NFL. I think it is ludicrous. I think most of you agree with me.
I don’t like the four NFL pre-season games now. I don’t like the idea of how many you play. It doesn’t make sense to be out there being out there trying to play all of these pre-season games in the midst of an uncertain season.
You don’t want to get someone hurt ever in a regular season but I definitely don’t want — in the middle of a coronavirus — to suddenly have a bunch of pre-season games.
Save it for the regular season. I think it will get worked out. I think the end result will be some sort of walk-thru scenario for one pre-season game and that’s pretty much it.
I would be 100% fine if there were never another pre-season game in the rest of history.
Because we don’t do it in college. College football, every year, has true freshmen on the field who last played in a high school football game.
If college kids can do it — who are 17, 18, and 19 years old — why in the world can’t an NFL professional who has had an entire offseason to work on it, not be able to do it?
Only play games that count. As an NFL season ticket holder, I don’t want 20% of my NFL ticket charges go to games that don’t make any sense at all.
The whole time you watch them you hope your favorite player won’t get hurt.
