The “first, last, worst” framework is something USCIS asylum officers use when an applicant has experienced many incidents of harm or threats, making it impossible to cover each one in detail during the interview. 📘 Instead of exploring every incident, the officer will focus on three: the first time you were harmed, the most recent incident, and the worst incident in terms of severity. You’ll be asked to explain these three in detail.
