2:14Now PlayingYour composure in immigration court can make or break your asylum case. 🚨 Staying calm in front of the judge matters more than most people realize. Your individual hearing is where you tell your full story and answer difficult questions under pressure. ⚖️ And many ICE prosecutors intentionally try to frustrate, confuse, and provoke you during that process. They ask aggressive questions, use rude tones, and push emotional buttons because they know emotional witnesses make mistakes. 📉 If you respond with anger, defensiveness, or hostility, it can seriously hurt how the judge sees you. And sometimes it’s not just the prosecutor. 💔 Some judges can also come across as dismissive, rude, or overly harsh during hearings. If you feel overwhelmed, ask for a short break. 📲 Step outside, breathe, drink water, and regain your composure before continuing. You cannot tell your story clearly and convincingly if you are emotionally overwhelmed. That’s also one of the biggest reasons to have a strong lawyer beside you during your case. Send “CONSULT” in a DM if you need help with an asylum case or getting a loved one out of detention. 💬
