YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIf you get a negative determination in your credible fear interview while you're in ICE detention, all hope is not lost. 🚨 You still have one critical chance to stop your deportation, but the decision you make next is extremely important. After a negative credible fear interview, immigration officials are supposed to ask you one key question: do you want an immigration judge to review the decision? ⚖️ If you say no, ICE can deport you within days. If you say yes, you get a short hearing with an immigration judge who will review what happened during your credible fear interview. 📄 The judge may ask additional questions and give you a chance to explain more about your fear and your asylum claim. Winning at this stage is not easy. Many judges simply affirm the asylum officer’s decision, but some people do win and go on to present full asylum cases in immigration court with evidence and witnesses. 💬 If you do not already have a lawyer, this is the moment to contact a trusted family member or friend and ask them to help you hire one immediately. Legal support before that hearing can make a huge difference. ✊ If you need help with an asylum case or help getting a loved one out of immigration detention, please send me the word “CONSULT” in a direct message. 💬
