Although none of them knew the results at the time, telling was the fact that the Marco Rubio voter was focused on Rubio's debate mishap, the Donald Trump voter was focused on Muslims, the Chris Christie (now out of the race) voter was focused on explaining away New Jersey's sluggish economy, and the John Kasich voter was focused on bipartisan cooperation.
Don Winterton said he had stood outside in sub-freezing temperatures for 12 hours due to his deep belief in John Kasich's leadership. This is a very small sample. We spoke to 8 people, four of whom were Democrats (2 for Bernie Sanders, and 2 for Hillary Clinton). Notably, the only women we spoke to had voted for Clinton.
