Sheila Gunn Reid of TheRebel.Media reports: Greenpeace had a rally to pack the legislature to try to push the province of Alberta to move to 100% renewables.
Seventeen or eighteen people showed up. That probably didn’t pack the legislature. But at least they had a lot of leg room and space for their purses and hippy satchels up there in the legislature gallery.
I waded into the crowd but no one wanted to talk to me except for one man. And I appreciated his honesty. He admitted that the whole idea of 100% renewable energy is a pipe dream. But not an oil pipe. They don’t like those.
These are the people the NDP say they're listening to when they say they are listening to Albertans and going ahead with their plans to move away from fossil fuels and save that planet. This handful.
But the NDP government is ignoring the hundreds who turned out on the exact same steps of the legislature this fall for the Stand Up For Alberta Rally. They came out asking the NDP to stop their plans and save Alberta jobs.
