According to the Ottawa Citizen, Federal employees who will be screening the 25,000 Syrian refugees coming to Canada haven't even been selected and trained yet.
So that’s Saturday morning. Then Saturday night, John McCallum, the Immigration Minister, tweets about "unexpectedly" meeting 1000 "newly arrived Syrian refugees tonight at Humanity First event. Only 24,000+ to go!”
So Syrian migrants have already arrived? But the people who are supposed to do background checks on them weren’t involved? I've got LOTS of other questions.
