The NDP’s farm unionization bill, Bill 6, would ban “child labour.” That’s what they would call a kid helping mom or dad milk the cows.
We did a poll on this central question:
"Do you think that the children of farmers should be prevented from working on the farm because of employment standard rules?”
The poll found that 64% of Albertans oppose preventing children from working on farms. Only 12% of Albertans want to ban kids from working on farms. And that’s the heart of Bill 6.
