11:29Now PlayingA surprising development in the case of allegations of election fraud in North Carolina's 9th Congressional District. The state board of elections decided to hold a new election in the district after the republican candidate, Mark Harris called today for a new election.
The election fraud charges centered around Republican operative, Leslie McCrae Dowless who was working for Harris. Dowless was allegedly illegally collecting absentee ballots and possibly filling them in for the GOP candidate.
At a North Carolina hearing, investigators laid out in detail the “unlawful,” “coordinated,” and well-funded plot to tamper with absentee ballots in a US House election that remains uncalled more than three months after Election Day.
