9:40Now PlayingSean Urbansk was arrested and charged with the stabbing death of Lt. Richard Collins III in 2017.
Urbansk who was involved with a racist Facebook group. Urbanski was charged with First Degree Murder and the FBI was asked to investigate the killing as a hate crime. The FBI did not find enough evidence to recommend charging Urbanski with a hate crime under federal law in the slaying of Collins.
Dr. Rashawn Ray, from the University of Maryland, a board member of the, 2nd LT Richard W. Collins III Foundation spoke with Roland Martin during Tuesday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about the FBI's decision to not file federal hate crime charges against Urbansk and prosecutors' decision to not seek the death penalty in the case.
