12:30Now PlayingA Georgia Special Grand Jury has completed an investigation into Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
The Atlanta-area special grand jury panel will issue a final report that serves as a mechanism for the special grand jury to recommend whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should pursue an indictment of election interference. If Willis decides to pursue an indictment, she can have a regular empaneled grand jury to seek charges.
Willis has been investigating Trump and his associates for two years, investigating claims of election fraud, an elector scheme, efforts by unauthorized individuals to access voting machines, and threats and harassment against election workers.
Judge Robert McBurney, overseeing the Fulton County special grand jury investigation, has scheduled a hearing on January 24 for the Fulton County District Attorney's office and others to argue whether the special grand jury's report should be made public.
