YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Black Star Network audience is rallying behind the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center following its devastating break-in.
Linda Harris, Director of Engagement and Programming, reported that 325 people had donated $16,163. Roland Martin repeated the figures on air and urged the RMU family to continue giving until the campaign reaches $50,000 by Monday.
An emotional Harris said she cried most of the previous night because she never imagined this level of support. She thanked Roland and the Black Star Network audience for standing behind the museum.
Roland said the audience understands the importance of supporting Black institutions and preserving Black history. The donations will help the museum repair its damaged door and murals, replace its stolen donation box and improve security.
