Blockchain is really just a linked list where the hash of the next block is seeded with the hash of the previous block. This helps prevent tampering with the chain because a bad actor would need to tamper with every single node in the chain to recompute the hash after the tampered block.
This isn't that difficult, but since the blockchain is spread throughout multiple computers, you would need to own 51% of the hashing power to force the other blockchains to conform to your record.
This is the first part in a three part series. The next part is creates simple NFTs.
