Sam and Emma Vigeland pull up a video of Antony Blinken, the current U.S. secretary of state, speaking from Denmark, saying that the U.S. is “greatly alarmed” and “troubled” by the Israel-Palestine conflict, despite the fact that the Biden administration pledged $730 million worth of weaponry to Israel a day ago. Blinken is concerned for journalists and medical personnel as well.
The Secretary of State of the United States says that the government has been working very hard behind the scenes to put an end to this conflict. Well…they’re doing a terrible job if that’s the case. Giving Israel millions in weapons doesn’t sound like it will help preserve life, as Blinken says is important here. Not making a statement until today is also a terrible strategy. So, yeah, sir, you are doing a terrible job at the job you’re saying you’re doing. Or you’re lying, which is what’s really happening. And it’s a dumb, stupid, obvious lie, so why even bother? Well, Sam points out that it’s a “different era,” and that is likely the crux of what is happening. Biden is used to being able to control the narrative to a greater degree than is possible in 2021.
