4:59Now PlayingMarjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz just wanted to hold a simple press conference outside of the Department of Justice declaring that the House select committee on the events of January 6 at the U.S. Capitol was a psy-op devised by Nancy Pelosi or a distraction from what Biden is REALLY planning on doing in Cuba or you know, choose your own conspiracy theory, we just made those two up. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz and also Louie Gohmert, for obvious reasons, could not, however, hold their press conference because some protestors showed up and made a small scene, causing Greene, Gaetz, and Gohmert to scatter with a quickness.

Sam Seder: So Marjorie Taylor Greene, who incidentally, you may not know this, I didn't quite realize this, she I think is the number one fundraiser in the Republican caucus in the republic. Did you know that?
Emma Vigeland: I think I made that point, and I think I remember you saying that wasn't part of why she was considered valuable to Republicans, but...
Sam Seder: Did you? I ignored it, yeah. I completely ignored that. I apologize.
Emma Vigeland: No, it's fine.
Sam Seder: I apologize, because that was actually...
Emma Vigeland: It's one of the resentments i'll pocket.
Sam Seder: I didn't hear that because I was thinking about like, why are they spending attention to her? And then I subsequently saw that, so.
Emma Vigeland: Well she's part of this like AOC dynamic where it's a grassroots fundraising operation. She gets a bunch of donations from the rest of the country based on Q Anon support.
Matt Lech: That's the embodiment of AOC for the Republican party. Look it up folks.
Sam Seder: Matt Gaetz, of course, has been on tour with her. Although my understanding is that tour has been a dismal failure, that's why they're back in DC. She was expending all this money and the tour was like losing money it was supposed to bring in money. It didn't work. And they're there with Louie Gohmert. It is really... Talk about three peas in a pod. They are out in front of the Department of Justice and they are doing anti-January 6th press conference. Let's play the the first clip. Someone very helpful shows up with a whistle and makes things a little bit difficult.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: The people of this country [we gotta go] the answers to the question...
Nick Dyer: We need... We need a break. The Left is interrupting the press conference. We need to end it.
Louie Gohmert: Thank you for those of you that really care about this process.
Reporter: Ladies and gentlemen, what you just saw here today is, again, the intolerant Left. Here, I'm going to... I had to actually. Here, I'll give those back now. So the whistle...
Emma Vigeland: But I do love the image, the slow pan out, and Louie Gohmert just standing there.
Sam Seder: "Wait a second!"
Emma Vigeland: As chaos just swarms around him. He's oblivious.
Sam Seder: "I was gonna... I blew off lunch for this. Wait a second. Hold on everybody! Don't go away! God darnit.
Emma Vigeland: I need my photo op here.
Bradley Alsop: The guy who said the the Left has broken up the press conference is Nick Dyer, Marjorie Taylor Greene's spokesperson. And he's just like a real, like red-assed guy. Sam Seder: There you go, the Left is holding up signs again behind us. They've broken it up. The intolerant left.
