6:55Now PlayingTucker Carlson told his @FoxNews audience that he still questions the efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines, comparing the Biden administration's push for higher vaccinated numbers to government forced lobotomies on the public. Carlson's disinformation campaign is about to make things worse as the dangerously fast-spreading Delta variant of the Covid-19 disease, which is deadlier, surges through the United States.

Sam Seder: You have trouble reaching people who are hard to vaccinate is one issue. But the point is that there should be people who it's not hard to access, and they can get vaccinated. If they're partying in the Ozarks, they could get vaccinated. If they have the ability to go out and party, you could get vaccinated. They could have a program where they offer vaccinations at the party place. Here is Louisiana Dr. Catherine O'Neal. She's on CNN with John Berman. Here she is basically laying it out in terms of the vaccination.
Dr. Catherine O'Neal: ...almost wholly unvaccinated. We are seeing some breakthrough cases, but if you look at everybody under the age of 50, and I say that again because under the age of 50 should be rare in the hospital, but today that accounts for about 50 percent of our Covid positive patients. And they are all unvaccinated. When you get to the elderly, especially over the age of 80, you are going to find some breakthrough cases. These are patients that we don't expect to make great antibodies. We don't expect them to respond to their vaccine. We were supposed to protect them by being vaccinated ourselves.
Sam Seder: All right, so juxtapose that — here she, is this "crazy ass liberal with a political agenda, this doctor on CNN" — here's Tucker Carlson, who as you know, is not anti-vaccine. He's not anti-vaccine, but he's going to tell you why the government is pushing the vaccine.
Tucker Carlson: ...more determined to single out Americans on the basis of their health status and denounce them. And that should tell you something. We have long ago left the realm of public health. This is about politics, and it's about social control. The Biden administration has decided it owns your body, and the media agree with that. If the rest of us allow that grotesque claim to go unchallenged, we are in deep trouble going forward. For generations, long after Covid recedes, and it will at some point. American citizens should never be forced to take medicine they don't want, period. Government should never require people to submit to any medical procedure, whether that procedure is sterilization or frontal lobotomies or Covid vaccinations. Most Americans still believe that. That is a foundational belief in this country. Every poll shows it. The majority in both parties believe that. So who is defending the people who believe...
Sam Seder: See this is what I'm talking about right here. This guy is out there saying he's not anti-vax, but he is claiming that the push for vaccinations is about social control. I mean that is being anti-vax. The idea of vaccination is for public health. We have plenty of situations in this country where you cannot send your kid to public school unless they have vaccinations. You can't send them to camp unless they have their vaccinations. Why isn't he railing about that, too? Why isn't he talking about the social control that is involved in that? And that is social control.
Emma Vigeland: Why isn't he talking about the social control that is what his Conservative buddies are trying to do with abortion? We're essentially not allowing women to have control over their own bodies. I thought that was just a decision that was supposed to be between you and your doctor.
Sam Seder: And that doesn't implicate anybody's public health. The bottom line is there is a fundamental project... I think what Tucker Carlson wants is vaccine mandates. Because it just is part of his narrative, and they have been quite successful in creating enough distrust in vaccines that we're gonna have to see more and more sort of vaccine mandates.
