Gregg Abbott Gets BUSTED By Undercover Reporter

Governor Gregg Abbott just gave the game away in Texas. States can pass laws to restrict abortion but it is illegal to ban the practice outright. However, Lauren Windsor got him to admit that they've done exactly that.

Sam: Let's play this clip from Lauren Windsor of the undercurrent. And here she is talking to Governor Abbott who you know his numbers during COVID have dropped dramatically. he has come out and promoted this anti-abortion abortion ban. Six weeks it's a ban this is not a restrictive abortion law. this is a ban. There were no abortions that were taking place when during the period that it was allowed to stand then it was enjoined abortion started up again. And then the fifth circuit my understanding is overturned that enjoyment. And there are no abortions taking place. It's an abortion ban. he doesn't quite say that. and incidentally he's also has vowed there's going to be no rape in Texas anymore. But here is Lauren Windsor questioning him on this. As we should say as a supporter.

Windsor: I know she's yeah huge fan. I’m a huge fan. I just want to thank you so much. We want to thank you so much for all that you're doing. I’m bored and you know we're just wondering what more can be done until anyways.

Sam: Yep.

Emma: That's awesome so he admits that they've effectively outlawed it.

Sam: Gotta hand it to her too she sorts of leans in like when he starts talking like I can't hear you

Emma: And I’m not sure if that's like I don't think that's necessarily her accent but she's... Sam: She's from the south I can't remember if it's Arkansas or Tennessee or something.

Emma: Okay gotcha. But either way, doing god's work. And I mean that for sure it's great to have some sort of counterbalance to the project veritas types.

Sam: Exactly. Exactly. and this is just you know really you know fairly straightforward stuff not like targeting like you know the third person who works at the reception at a certain these are politicians.

Matt: Yeah I mean the focus on sb8 but also the mailer drugs thing is just really agreed especially like I can't get it out of my mind that Matthew McConaughey is still like towing around running for office but he won't be committal on any of these major issues. it's like you were in the Dallas Buyers Club.

Emma: Yeah about like well the Dallas Buyers Club sucks by the way. well, I haven't seen it but I know it's about getting medication across state lines.

Emma: Yeah yeah well it's also a movie that's about the aids crisis that centers on a straight man because it's more palatable to mainstream audiences. but oh and Jared Leto puts it on an embarrassingly performative. that should have gone to a trans actor but whatever.
