Emma: Sinema is not negotiating with Schumer or Pelosi and is refusing to tell them even what she wants. She's only negotiating directly with the white house. One it shows the immense arrogance that she possesses. But two what the [ __ ] is Schumer doing as senate majority leader?
Sam: Well I don't know that there's a lot that he can do right now. But I think I mean I don't know if it makes sense to threaten her with a committee seat at the moment because she may just realize like that means I don't have to show up and do that and I can just do this.
Emma: I understand but there he has not kept his caucus together in a way that I think is…
Sam: He's a concierge.
Emma: Yes but he does not vote. He's not publicly I think thrashing her they've outsourced that to Bernie as you have pointed out but I also think that there's value in Schumer being a lot more upfront here on this issue.
Sam: I’m too busy doing sexual anarchy.
Emma: Exactly but the point is that he needs to be getting a lot more heat for allowing her to essentially run rampant and go around his authority as Senate majority leader to speak with the White House and not feel she has to hold herself to any standard well that she needs to give her demands to the Senate majority leader.
Sam: The place where this has to happen is at the White House that I mean that's basically it the White House has to say like look we have the ability to punish you. Period end of the story.
Emma: Okay but if if if Schumer is looking to the white house to say I’m gonna like defer to what by then wants to do here the behind is not going to do anything well that's the guy doesn't do anything then nothing's going to happen I think mitch McConnell would never let one member of his caucus go around him and go to the president and speak in this in this manner. And I think that there needs to be a lot more heat on Schumer at this point that's my thought.
