Swing State Republicans Are Purging Local Officials In Preparation For 2024 Election

Trump and his people attempting to overturn the election in 2020 was a complete clown show. But they are still at it and they're learning from their failures. Things are getting really scary in states and counties where Trump won, Republican officials are getting thrown out of their jobs because they won't toe the line of The Big Lie.

Sam: Here is a former Trump advisor. I mean this is one of those things like we're going to play this clip and talk about why this is still happening. This is former trump adviser Sebastian Gorka with former trump attorney jenna ellis. Jenna Ellis was one of those like Sydney, what's her face and she was going on like you ask yourself like why are they pushing this stolen election thing still. like even more fervently. There's a recount of another audit happening in Wisconsin now. None of these things have worked out for them; the Arizona audit showed that Trump lost by more than they originally said.

Emma: But then that means that there were discrepancies so there can be discrepancies elsewhere.

Sam: I mean that actually is exactly that's what they're banking on.

Emma: Yeah Kimberly Guilfoyle coming out on tv this morning and saying they should audit all 50 states.

Jenna Ellis: and and but and so well let's play this and let's talk about why they're doing. We know already that the election results in at least five of the swing states were irredeemably compromised. So we already have sufficient evidence for these states to decertify their electoral results. And so what this means is that the state legislatures would pass a resolution through both chambers that essentially say that the secretary of state certification that was sent to Congress was based on false or faulty information. And that then would trigger a kind of a chain reaction because then if at least three states do that. And Joe Biden's electoral count drops but below the requisite 270 counts. Then Congress is going to have to deal with that. Decertification is incredibly important for the record and to make sure that we are dealing with every legal vote counting and counting accurately.

Sam: The whole nature of this now and there's a story I think about an election official in Georgia in a county that Trump won. who's been driven out of her job. and this is happening all across the country. The difference is that when looking at these states they you know most of these states generally the states that end up the pivot states for the election generally are the same. there are i don't know six or seven states you could pick. and that will those six or seven states you can almost be sure will dictate the next like three or four or five national elections. and what they're doing is they are purging. They are purging the election officials who actually did these audits and recounts and found like in Georgia for instance. they're getting rid of these people. so that the next time when they do the same thing there are not the same obstacles. Yeah, that's what's going on here.

Matt: It's sorting.

Sam: It is sorting.

Emma: And that's the a side of it, the b side is that they're going to recruit people to fill those positions.

Sam: Well yeah of course. they're they're they're they're eliminate they're they're replacing these people with pro-trump people with people who are absolutely convinced they're either disingenuous or not it doesn't matter. but they are convinced that it's not possible for donald trump or for a republican to lose. and therefore they work backwards in terms of the counting of the votes that way. and so the next time around all of this stuff is going to be put into a you know normal legal framework. so that there won't be any controversy because no election official is going to stand up and go like actually no the vote was fine.
