Sam Seder: Do we have a final count yet from New Jersey?
Emma Vigeland: No... Let me check "The New York Times" site. Murphy is in the lead by less than a percentage point but the outstanding counties that needed to be still tabulated are Trenton — urban areas — that are likely going to put Murphy over the top as the incumbent. But it's really close again, less than a percentage point. Ciattarelli behind him, so there's still no decision but there's also mail-in ballots that I think still need to be counted, according to Nate Cohn. And people are tending to think that Murphy's gonna pull it off. And Murphy's done a lot of good things in New Jersey, so... Again, this just has to do with the off-year situation.
SS: I heard a statistic that said that New York state would be the worst place to be in a zombie apocalypse because of the number of bodies that have died and been buried in cemeteries here in this state. However, Tucker Carlson has an interesting theory about New Jersey and it relates to elections.
EV: It is the most densely populated area in the country, I believe. New Jersey. So that might be the worst one to be in a zombie apocalypse.
SS: That's possibly true. It also apparently is bad if you're a Republican candidate. Here is Tucker Carlson with his latest bat crap crazy example of craveness uh to appeal to the Republican narrative du jour.
Tucker Carlson: So somewhere at the beginning of Covid, Phil Murphy, who's a finance creep and governor of New Jersey, decided to crown himself king. He's now god of New Jersey. He's up for re-election; that's really a formality in New Jersey where dead people vote in large numbers, but what's interesting is that this guy who is a part of the Democratic machine, might not be doing as well as he should in a state that's controlled by the Democratic machine. Remember, this is the same governor who told us that the Bill of Rights isn't really relevant to his job.
