9:04Now PlayingIn a heated exchange during a House committee meeting, Democratic State Rep. Peter Merideth confronted Missouri State Rep. Mike Moon about his no vote on a bill that would make it illegal for kids at age 12 to be married to adults in the state.
Moon responded by asking Merideth if he knows any children who've been married at age 12. Merideth said that he does, and that the couple is still married. Moon then went on to say that he believes that child marriage is a "personal decision" that should be left up to parents.
