May 8, 201319:33Now PlayingSenator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, spoke on the Senate floor to begin debate on S.601, the Water Resources Development Act of 2013 (WRDA). The bill, which passed the EPW Committee unanimously in March, would provide critical flood protection, environmental restoration projects, and investment in ports and wastewater and drinking water infrastructure. Boxer cosponsored the bill with EPW Ranking Member David Vitter (R-LA).
