3:27Now PlayingThousands of civilians have fled the Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk as Russian forces start to target the area, with fire and rescue teams being called out every day.
The city is the main supply hub for Ukrainian forces and as Russia has strengthened its grip on the Donbas, they've sharpened their focus on Pokrovsk, with one resident saying the area is now "dead".
Troops on the frontline in the region have told Sky News they are struggling to defend it.
Sky's International Correspondent Alex Rossi talks to troops and residents who remain living in the line of fire.
