The situation escalates as rocks are thrown, locals carry sticks for protection and Nick’s group is chased by a man reportedly carrying a knife.

The Ceuta migration crisis was driven partly by economic hardship and misleading social-media claims about Spanish immigration rules. Reports indicate that around 60,000 people attempted to cross, with many entering through the water before most eventually returned to Morocco.
