On August 19th, Donna Adelson will go on trial for the shocking murder of Florida State University law professor Dan Markel, a case that has captivated the community for nearly a decade. Markel was gunned down in his Tallahassee driveway in 2014, and prosecutors allege the killing was a murder-for-hire plot tied to a bitter custody battle. Donna’s son, Charlie Adelson, was already convicted for orchestrating the assassination, and now prosecutors say Donna played a critical role in planning and covering up the crime. With the trial set to begin, all eyes will be on the courtroom as the jury hears how this once-prominent family allegedly conspired to end Markel’s life.
