5:54Now PlayingDianne Feinstein is 87 years old, and an article this month in “The New Yorker” recounted a recent hearing during which Sen. Feinstein repeated, verbatim, the same question she’d asked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey moments earlier to demonstrate that perhaps we can’t assume that 87-year-olds are fit to govern. The timing of this realization is kind of inconvenient! Although Feinstein announced that she’d step down from the senior position among Dems on the Senate Judiciary Committee, it’s a little late for everyone who found Feinstein’s leadership lacking at Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing. The article goes on to remind us that A LOT of senators are very old, so old, in fact, that we might not let them drive a car if they were our parents. But, yeah, let’s let these people drive the country straight off of a cliff, what the hell! It’s about respect, you ungrateful plebes.
Francesca and comedian Nato Green () discuss the situation with a grave sense of respect and dignity. Just kidding! They’re not cool with it. Because it’s insane, everyone!
