(And yes, Anthony brings back his Trump impression one last time for Frantifa!)
Tony bravely points out that “Operation Warp Speed” wasn’t actually a “thing,” that it was just something that the Trump administration made up and said over and over again, much like hundreds of other non-things during Trump’s tenure. Trump didn’t assist the pharmaceutical companies with fast-tracking research and development, nor trials, nor peer reviews, nor anything of any use to anyone. Trump did nothing about Covid-19 for a year, he waddled around the country holding rallies that often were proven to be superspreader events and even killed Herman Cain, and then he himself caught Covid-19 not because he was forced into contact with people as part of his duties to his country, but because he and his accomplices just had to have a maskless event in the White House Rose Garden to celebrate Amy Coney Barrett — the fastest-tracked SCOTUS appointment in history.
Trump just said whatever came into his little brain at any given moment and spilled out of his unmasked mouth into a microphone (or a phone in the case of “Fox & Friends”). And apparently, according to Tony here, what we really need is just a solid tax system and a well-staffed bureaucracy to keep this country going. He’s not saying that a birdbrain racist narcissist at the helm is A-OK, but an out-of-touch, jumble-headed, self-important grampa like Biden? Meh. People will probably just go along with it.
