Senator manic pixie dream girlboss (sometimes known as Kyrsten Sinema) is one of two crucial Senators standing in the way of Democrats actually delivering legislation that doesn’t suck. While this isn’t a novel position for a U.S. Senator, the sheer amount of contempt this individual has for the people who elected her has been on full display this week.
Sen. Sinema hasn’t held a town hall in over three years, and the public positions she’s taken on the current legislation are totally out of step with the very things she ran on. Instead of taking the time to meet with her constituents, or work on the legislation she seems hell bent on torpedoing, Sinema instead claimed that she had foot problems, and fled Washington to go to a big dollar donor fundraiser instead. In order to get some face time with the Senator they elected, some folks in Arizona tracked her down, so she went and hid in a bathroom. When the Republic falls, remember to check the stalls for Arizona’s latest maverick Senator.
