ICE just kidnapped another pro-Palestine protester who is a permanent legal resident. This time, in a sickening twist, they abducted him from his citizenship hearing.
Mohsen Mahdawi has been a green card holder here in the U.S. since 2015. Mahdawi has also been a prominent leader in the Columbia campus protests for a free Palestine, going so far as to appear on 60 Minutes to advocate for the cause. Unfortunately, this has made him a target for Trump’s assault on the First Amendment.
Mohsen found himself being detained by ICE agents while attending his citizenship interview in his home state of Vermont. This is just another in a growing list of ICE weaponizing LEGAL immigration. At this point, we might as well consider ICE to be honorary members of the IDF.
