13:43Now PlayingWomen are letting AI leave them behind. According to this totally not scripted Instagram video from Reese Witherspoon, it is!
Listen, there are a lot of reasons to be critical of AI. Sure, the AI data centers needed to power the technology are destroying the environment, stealing our drinking water, sending our electricity bills through the roof, and so much more. And sure, the technology is largely just glorified chat bots that tell us the wrong answers to our questions and slop meme generators. But it’s also true that men use AI more than women, and the AI barons – I mean Reese– wants to change that.
This seems to be the argument that Reese Witherspoon made in a recent social media video that she posted. In the definitely not staged video, Reese explains how 70% of the women he talked to had never used AI and are falling behind. All while making a smoothie! Now, we don’t know that she was paid to do this… But it definitely feels like she was. Maybe there’s a reason that women are more cautious to use AI. Maybe we should have…I dunno, regulation?
