U.S. Trade Rep. Jamieson Greer will testify before a Senate Appropriations Committee panel Tuesday afternoon on the state of the U.S. economy.

The hearing comes as President Trump has doubled down on his economic agenda, even as concerns around affordability have grown and amid uncertainty sparked by his sweeping tariffs on foreign trading partners.

Greer has also floated pulling the U.S. out of its trade deal with Mexico and Canada. A joint review process of the agreement is set for July.

Trump will also speak on the economy later Tuesday in remarks from Pennsylvania.

The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. EST.
