51:35Now PlayingPima County Sheriff Chris Nanos will brief reporters Thursday afternoon on the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when she was dropped off at her home in the Tucson, Ariz., area. Her family reported her missing the next day. Her three daughters, including the NBC host, have issued a plea to potential kidnappers for proof of life.
While few details have been unveiled to the public, officials said it does appear that there were signs of forced entry at her home. President Trump said he directed federal law enforcement officials to aid in the case and the FBI confirmed Director Kash Patel is being personally briefed on the search efforts.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST.
